• During this week we are going to learn more about:
  1. How to Skim and scan a reading passage.
  2. How to outline a paragraph from a reading passage.
  3. How to write a paragraph using the standard academic paragraph outlining form.

• Activity 1:
  1. Go to academic writing page to join the Academic Writing Yahoo! Group.
  2. Click on the blue box that says: Join This Group!
  3. Then, click on "Files" listed on the left side menu bar and then, click on the folder named, "Constructing the Paragraph".
  4. You should see now the Self-Test and Tutourial exercises.
  5. Do the Self-Test exercises and take notes of your scores after each self-test exercise.
  6. After that, post your scores of each exercise via an email to Academic Writing Yahoo! Group.
  7. Remember to introduce yourself at the begining of your email message.
  8. Wait for feedback, including instructions on what to do next.

• Activity 2:
  1. Go to the Writing Project to join Webhead Sergei Up Stream: EFL Writing blog, at Belarus State University.
  2. Then, read the instruction from there; after that start posting your writing on the weekly topic.

• Activity 3:

  Go to the grammarpage to do some practice.
